Is it possible to add a shortcut dimension to a page

Is it possible to use SOD to place a shortcut dimension on a page? For example, expose shortcut dimension 3 on the sales order page (page 42). I realize that we only have direct access to the Dimension Set ID in the Sales Header table (table 36).
