I’m just curious… in the old days when we created a field in say the sales order table and we wanted it to flow to the Shipment table if the field no and name was the same BC would automatically copy the values from one field to another without the need for adding code.
Why does that not work when we create fields using SOD. Does it have to do with adding it as an extension versus directly to the DB?

Hi Monica,
That’s still the case, you just have to make sure field numbers are the same (Add the Field No. field to the New Fields list).
But it’s not a pattern Microsoft recommend, and in a lot of cases, they’re no longer using the “Transferfields()” command anymore.
