Hi Hugaard,
I’m currently using Simple Object Designer to expose data as web service APIs. Since September 4th, I’ve been encountering the following error when attempting to retrieve data via Excel:
Unable to connect
We encountered an error while trying to connect.
Details: Web.Contents failed to get contents from ‘https://api.businesscentral.dynamics.com/v2.0/XXXXX/Production/api/hougaard/Tessa_Project%09/v2.0/companies(XXXXXXXXX)/purchase_Headers’ (400): Bad Request
This is the first time I’ve seen this issue. All SOD updates in Business Central are applied.
Could you please advise on how to resolve this?
Best regards,
Alberto
“400 Bad Request” indicates there’s something wrong with the request.
What happens if you use other APIs ?
APIs don’t deteriorate over time.. somrthing else is going on.
Can you try from a different client instead of Excel to verify?
I’ve had to delete, recreate, and publish the API endpoint twice to restore functionality. This behavior is new and disruptive.
Could you please advise on what might be causing this or suggest any troubleshooting steps?
Thank you for your help—I appreciate your guidance.
