I am trying to change the caption of an existing field. But after publishing, the field shows exactly the same caption.
Is this a bug?
I also tried to add the existing field (again) next to the already existing field, but the same results.

It looks like there’s something overriding our overriding. I just tried it here, and the code that SOD is correct, but it seems to be ignored by Business Central. I’ll check with Microsoft the next time I have access to them (after Christmas).
